Acer Laptop Fails to BOOT

hello, i have an acer laptop .   was working well in the past after one day  it just failed to boot. it shows one led light and does not display anything apart from a black screen. no bios or welcome window no nothing.

Would be nice if you can give us a bit more detail as which model, OS used etc ...

Yes give more info, but things to try:

1) Remove the battery and AC supply, press and hold the power button for about 20 seconds. Put the AC back in, but not the battery and see if you get going...

2)If no 1) fails, try reseating the hard drive and the RAM...
