Is this cpu good for today gaming?

Thread Starter

I'm going to buy a laptop and I want to get an amd laptop, so in my country this one is the only amd laptop for now:

HP Pavilion DV6-6c11ea

CPU: A6-3430MX 1.70GHz/2.40GHz (4MB L2 Cache)

Graphics card: ATI-AMD Radeon HD 7690M with 1GB DDR3

RAM: 6GB DDR3 1333MHz

HDD: 750GB, 5400, SATA

USB: 2x USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.0

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed ready to use

Speakers: "Beats" audio technology, developed in collaboration with Dr. Dre

Security: Sensor that stops the hard drive when detecting sudden movements

Would this cpu be able to play games like Alan Wake, Crysis, Crysis 2, Skyrim, Aion, Cataclysm, Battlefield 3, Metro 2033. Or it would often give me choppy performance when I play those games on 1366x768 and medium to high settings? It also uses TurboCore so that it increases to 2.4 GHz whenever a game needs it, is it something like intel's turbo boost?
