Need a Laptop! (Asus G55vw or MSI GE60)

Well I'll be going off to college this fall and I need to get a laptop... I've said no to desktops becausei need it to be portable obiv... but I can't decide between these two laptops. One is the Asus G55vw and the other is the MSI GE60.

My budget is nothing over $1.4k and nothing bigger than a 15.6" screen.

I am a gamer and I intend to be playing Dota2, Diablo 3, Battlefield 3, TF2, CS:GO, and etc. I'll be undergoing a degree for graphic design, so I'll be expecting to use the adobe programs. I want this laptop to keep up for years to come.

I don't know a ton about computers but I could be qualified as a novice... if you have any other recommendations feel free to throw some out.

Hat's off to the Asus lovers and fans.  I admit to previously being enticed by their list of hardware, or as they say, bang for the buck in notebooks.  Just pray you don't have to deal with their repair team.  Absolutely the worst customer care imaginable.  Having to pay for shipping when their product is defective is absurd, and than good luck on satisfactory repairs.  I purchased the u46e and have sent it back 4 times for the same repair, and not once was it repaired.  Now they replaced mine with a refurbished unit, which I specifically refused by phone, and am awaiting for a decision from them to return the unit I sent them or finally replace the unit with a brand new one.  The computer, refurbished one, still has all kinds of configuration setting in Windows 7 left by the original owner; there is no recovery partition any longer, and the touchpad is not the same as what my unit had installed.  Many people don't care for the Elan touchpad but it is much more adjustable than the synaptics touchpad.  Sorry I purchased from Asus and will never recommend their computers to my worst enemy.
