Certain requirements can't co-exist in my view:
. battery (long) performance and gaming capabilities per example

for 3D capability you would probably be limited to a few models from ASUS or Alienware, again in my view.

After August you would have more choices with the upcoming AMD Trinity A10-4600M notebooks that might have Intel Ivy Bridge running for its money smile.gif

cheers ...

Well, If I'm gaming I will more than likely be near an outlet, but when I'm not and I'm doing reasonably low battery draining activities I would want good battery life.

I have neither seen nor experienced a 3D capable "gaming" notebook that would give users a 3-4 hrs battery performance even when not gaming.

That was primarily because I couldn't find a 14" laptop with a screen higher than 1366x768 resolution. I should change that to 14-15" instead however the Alienware looks pretty good on price and features for what I need, so that will probably be on my list of possible laptops.
