1. Do you currently own an SSD and are you planning on purchasing one in the near future? If so, which brands are you considering (Intel, OCZ, Crucial, Kingston, Patriot Memory, Samsung, or other)? Yes, and yes but considering all (I'm not picky)

2. What is the most important consideration you make when you purchase an SSD (price, performance, brand, other)? Price and performance (which is why the above question regarding brand is wide open for me)

3. How often do you purchase a new PC (less than a 1 year, 1-2 years, 2-3 years, over 3 years)? every 2-3 years

4. Do you prefer to build your own PC or buy a branded system (Build your own or Buy a branded system)? I buy a branded system but sometimes I'll put in additions like extra memory.

5. How important do you feel an SSD is to system performance? (extremely important, pretty important, Not very important, no impact on performance) Extremely!

6. [Canadian residents only] What is 110 plus 15 divided by 5 minus 4? N/A wink.gif

1. Do you currently own an SSD and are you planning on purchasing one in the near future? If so, which brands are you considering (Intel, OCZ, Crucial, Kingston, Patriot Memory, Samsung, or other)?

I don't currently own one and have been looking at OCZ, Crucial, and Intel /B]

2. What is considered the most important consideration you make when you purchase an SSD? (price, performance, brand, other)?

Price would be my 1st consideration, however size does matter 2nd

3.How often do you purchase a new PC (less than a 1 year, 1-2 years, 2-3 years, over 3 years)?

[BLast new laptop was in 06'. Upgraded everything I could to keep it relatively current. The only thing next, as to performance boost, would be an SSD!

4. Do you prefer to build your own PC or buy a branded system

I find recent laptop catastrophes to work on. I like to rebuild and if possible upgrade. I prefer a branded as far as finding parts but after all is done and said, branded isn't really too important. part #s are important. The hunt is the game for me, to find upgraded components that are inexpensive then have them start up is very gratifying to me. I donate them to worthy causes.

5.How important do you feel an SSD is to system performance? (extremely important, pretty important, Not very important, no impact on performance)

It would be the, "final frontier", as far as this old throw down is concerned. The 320g 5400rpm is quite slow compared to today's screamers. Very curious to see if it would even work in this thing. FSB bottleneck and all.

1. I currently own an intel SSD, series 320 120GB, and have no immediate plans to purchase another one

2. Reliability is most important

3. Over 3 years because I try to buy the best one at the time to last me

4. I always build my own so that I can pick all the components

5. an SSD is critical to system performance and I would never use a traditional harddrive as my boot/program drive

6. using straight math: 21, Bedmas, in order of operations is: 109

1. I'm unsure maybe in the future
2. The cost
3. It would be over 3 years but it really depends on the need
4. If I could purchase the hardware at a reasonable cost, I would build one
5. Performance is very important

Why do you keep sending me e-mails about contests if I can't participate because I don't live in the US or Canada? That's so mean and unfair...
