Extremely important, had the 320 fail and used a 7200 rpm while waiting for replacement. You get used to the SSD and the HDD seems like a slug.

1. I own a Crucial M4 SSD; I like Crucial, Intel, OCZ, and Samsung brands for their reliability ratings. I would consider purchasing one for my laptop when the price/size ratio is better.

2. For me, reliability is the most important; after that, price; after that, performance.

If so, which brands are you considering (Intel, OCZ, Crucial, Kingston, Patriot Memory, Samsung, or other)? I own 3 SSD's (one in my laptop, two in my desktop [1 for boot, 1 for data]). All are Intel brand, and that's the only brand I'm considering for future upgrades.

1.) I don't have one but many of my friends do. I am planning to get one from Intel.

2.) Most important is the data security. This is, why Intel is the only choice for me. The price of course is also important, because i am not willing to pay $300 for 120 GB.

3.) Years ago it was more often but today they are having enough power to use them longer. I am investing is smaller items like RAM or the graphics card every 1-2 years. A complete replacement needs to wait over 3 years.
