The price/performance ratio. But also the fiability (don't what to get problems like the ones with the Sandforce controller firmware issue)

I would consider all brands, but my fav's are Intel, OCZ and Kingston.

Price and size. I have a minimum performance level, but most brands meets that.

Before I went to college 1-2 years. While at college, never unless necessary.

I love building my own system, for the last 14 years or so.

Extremely important. Systems are being design to utilize their performance capabilities.

I do not any SSD and not currently planning to buy one as the price per GB is still too high for my student income.

For me it will be price and power consumption as I will be using it in a laptop.

It is extreamely important as the hard disk is the slowest link in a computer.

I do not, but I have been seriously looking into buying one recently. I've heard good things about OCZ, Kingston, and Intel of course.

Price is definitely a big factor, but the size of the SSD is also important to me. I wouldn't want to but a brand new one just to have to buy another in a few months after it fills up.

On average, every 2.5 years.

I would love to try and build my own PC, but so far I have only bought branded systems.

I think it's pretty important, and I am dying to replace my current HDD with an SSD!

if you upgrade your pc les than once a year you are not needing any thing faster as your cpu is slow on its own and u prob dont have i3,i5,i7

Currently own an Intel 330 Series 120GB SSD. I would consider purchasing another Intel SSD.

In the case of SSD's I would have to say brand. This is one component where you don't want to skimp on quality to save a few bucks.

I never actually purchase a new PC, rather mine usually gets transformed into a different PC through upgrades and replacements over a year or two.

Build my own. I refuse to go back to purchasing branded systems. (Laptop would be an exception of course.)

It is pretty important. Now that I have used one, I can see that it does boost system speed considerably. Every component in your system contributes to it's overall performance. An SSD won't get you ultra high FPS in a 3D game without having a decent videocard for example.
