I plan on buying a larger SSD - no brand preferences.

Yes, in my laptop I have a Sandisk SSD. I plan to get one for my desktop; I intended to get a Sandisk Extreme SSD.

Yes, I have a Corsair Force GT, and am thinking of getting an SSD for my laptop.

Reliability, based on articles & reviews.

Including significant upgrades, I'd say every 2-3 years.

I prefer to build my own.

After owning one? I'd say very. I've noticed a big difference, especially in shutdown/reboot time.
