New vaio T series (with ivy bridge) makes too much fan noise

Hi! I bought T13 a few days ago, but found that it makes too much fan noise even when it is lightly loaded.

I checked other T13 from sony stores but the problem was the same.

I can still return the product, but because I really love it, I want to keep it if I can control the fan speed manually.

Can anyone help me? I tried SpeedFan and almost every options in Vaio Control center, but nothing was successful.

When the fan makes loud noise, CPU temperature is under 33'C or even lower... (someone said this temperature range is normal that fans can slow down themselves)

I really appreciate if you can give me any clue on controlling the fan. Thank you!

Check out the power schemes and see if you have any options for Sony VAIO Battery performance and use it. See if that helps

Thanks for the input... but cannot find any options for battery performance ;-(

This is crazy. I love the laptop but cannot use it in the library!

What are the options you have under power schemes? Can you share a screen shot?

This is what I am looking for ..

You can try the balanced or power saver settings to throttle down the CPU a bit

I guess you're talking about these pages?

I still cannot see anything related to the fans...

Thank for your help tho.

Yep - and no, you won't find anything about the fan control from these options, but by using one of less "power" demanding schemes, your fan will not need to be on often or going max.
