My temperatures are up there a tad since i was just running a game. My problem is how this laptop has been running them. Some days i can fun games just fine with max settings and very smooth frame rates. Like Dead Island and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit on max settings and get a good 45 FPS on max resolution. Then literally the next day i may be lucky to run Diablo 2 without this thing stuttering and feeling like it's 10 years old and outdated. I'll give it about a weeks time and it will suddenly be back and running my games just fine. Not just a problem on games either, internet....navigating around windows, videos, flash, everything...etc...etc. It is not the stealth mode option that is causing this i've made sure of that. All my drivers are up to date, windows is up to date, no background applications, no viruses/malware. No bloatware, no dirty registry, no junk files built up too. One day my windows score the thing that windows does to score your laptop from 1.0 - 7.9. Mine will be say 7.1 when things are running just fine, then overnight it would drop to 2.1
then next week it will be back at 7.1 or 6.9....or 4.3, 3.9, 2.8, 5.1.... you get the idea :(
I have tried everything i know and have not found out what is the problem nor anything that helps my situation. I have done stress tests on the Hard drive, ram, cpu, gpu, fans. They all performed normal. All test that i try report no problems. Even went so far as to reinstall windows on a clean slate, meaning i wiped the old drive clean then installed. I have tried numorous drivers from both dell and alienware with no luck. My temps keep a reasonable low temperature when running games, they never rise to anything critical or even really high. I have searched the web and multiple forums but still have not been able to find an answer.
