Acer 5560G-7809 FPS Drop issue

Hi, I just very recently bought a new Acer 5560G-7089 laptop and I've been having issues with sudden frame rate drops. Often times when I'm playing a game, or even watching a video I'll experience a brief drop in FPS, basically a freeze, accompanied by crackling, almost mechanical, distorted audio. I know this is a little vague, but does anyone have an idea about what could be the issue?

Do you have all drivers up to date? Windows updates? Disabling antivirus or replacing it with something else?

sounds like a latency issue. Check for driver updates, audio, video, etc. also check apps running in background.
