A couple of days ago my fujitsu siemens amilo 2528xi would not start up properly anymore and it would just show a black screen with two large bars with vertical colored stripes.
I thought my screen had gone since after attaching it to an external monitor it seemed to work properly. Made a back of the system and tried reinstalling windows from the boot dvd. That fixed the problem, but unfortunately just for 2 days. It gave me the same black screen again.
This time i erased all partitioms, formatted and reinstalled windows, but during installation it gave m a blue screen with a hardware malfunction warning. Telling me that:
Nmi parity check / memory parity error.
After rebooting i find that the system briefly shows the fujitsu siemens start screen in dos and then right away goes intonthe same screen with vertical stripes as the first time.
Any suggestions what is going on?
I am guessing the videocard, but if you have other/better ideas your help would be much appreciated
