Hey everyone. I have a question about how to get my HP DV4-1435DX screen to work properly....
The computer is about 3 years old and still work(ed) great. About 3 weeks ago it had slipped out my hand while walking and fell onto my kitchen floor, cracking the screen. Well I ordered a new one, recieved it, installed it, and now my screen is not working. When I power up, the computer turns on as it normally would as far as Windows loading up and the sounds, but no screen. The screens backlight appears to come on because when the power is on, it turns to a grayish color, indicating that it is in fact getting power. I hooked it up via hdmi into my tv and it shows up perfectly fine. I am completely stumped and annoyed.
I have searched this online and theres many different "Pull the battery out, unplug it, hold power button for x amount of seconds, then put battery back in, etc" remedies but none seem to work.
Is this more than likely an inverter problem?
