I just bought an acer aspire 5560 2 weeks ago and I didnt notice it right off the bat but now its unmistakable. The touchpad mouse will move on its own when you double tap the pad to select things. Ill have it over an icon double tap and the cursor will jump to somewhere else on the screen, Its getting pretty annoying. If I see the actual button to select then it wont jump. Sometimes when just moving the cursor it will randomly jump. Is it a software or driver issue or is my touchpad broken already?

It sounds to me like a software/driver issue more than a hardware one.
Review your antivirus, mouse settings for sensitivity, start-up processes and services for any conflicts
cheers ...
