WHAAAAT!?

How could they squeeze all of that space in 2.5" format? QHN, do you think that it could actually outrun read/write wise other SSD based i.e. Momentus products? Considering the density per sqr inch it could actually perform incredibly well... Hope you'll get one to test w00t.gif

Not sure about the out-run part over SSD, but I am definitively interested in getting one and testing and using it ... conventional hard drive (HDD, SATA) is still my preference over SSDs - durability history, I can't afford to have drives conking out on me in the middle of important tasks tongue.gif

Totally agree on the reliability matter. It is quite ironic that moving parts mechanics i.e. traditional spinning platters HDD actually outperforms non moving component i.e. SSD drive in so many instances of dependability huh.gif. I also stick with regular drives although I must admit that I'm currently being half corrupted running Momentus XT which provides some margin of SSD optimalization. Frankly, sometimes actually seems slower than my older 750GB WD 7200rpm drive...
I usually hibernate my laptop all the time anyway so it's almost instant ON for me on each power up blush.gif
Looking fwd to the review, qhn!

I have put in a mail request as to when the item is back in stock. Nearest place for me to order is UK, running at 160 quids.

I must say that SSD reliability is being proven in Apple and Lenovo machines - which makes me a believer out of software and firmware management playing an important role in hardware performance. Same thing with graphic cards driver - system manufacturers must take responsibility in making sure that SSD work well in their environment, can't let end users relying on SSD firmware update on their own smile.gif

Are there external cases available that fit the 15mm height?
I found only one, at OWC.

Are there dual-drive cases available that fit the 15mm height -and- can handle two 2GB drives?

I haven't found any that allow more than two 1-GB drives.

Drives dock-station might be your best bet for multiple drives
