Power Management in Windows 7 OS

Thread Starter

Hello everyone,

I am a heavy internet user. I keep my laptop ON for long hours. But in doing so, I have to plug-in & plug-out laptop's charger so that I don't overcharge & don't discharge the Li-ion battery. This is pretty annoying. Is there a software that can disable charging when battery is Fully Charged AND automatically start charging it when battery reduces to a user-defined point (say 20%)?

Help is highly appreciated!

Brief System Specs:

Laptop: Dell Vostro 1400

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium

RAM: 2GB

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5670 @ 1.8 GHz

Battery Charging Threshold ... an interesting subject that currently can only happen on Lenovo Thinkpad and with Linux (from my limited understanding) sad.gif
