hello, just purchased a used 8710w workstation with a Quadro fx 1600M.. i know hp has a upgrade to a fx3600m card available but will a FX2700M from a 8730w work in a 8710??? has anybody done this upgrade or is it even possible.. i tried a fx 2700m from a 8730w but the screen is black and it seems like the computer freezes and wont boot up.. i am trying to find out if this card is defective or is not compatible with the 8710.. i heard of people putting FX 3700M in 8710 laptops so i would think a fx2700m would work or is there video bios mods that have to done.. if anybody has done an upgrade to this laptop any info would be highly appreciated.. not very familiar with hp laptops..
