fitting a wireless mini PCI into a 5670

Hi,

I was wondering if its possible to do this in a 56xx that was bought initially without any wireless support.

which is the best card available ??, and what else needs to be done (other than plugging in the card)

ok i opened my lappy - LOL - couldnt control the curiosity to find out
found out there r 2 antenna leads, so i just need to plug in the miniPCI

now i need to know what miniPCI make/model does the sager 5690 come with, and can we buy that somewhere,
or if theres other wireless-g miniPCI cards i could buy

i dont know about which one works but i am guessing that if u did a search for the intel 2200 mini pci card u could find it and fix that in... not sure though. never done it.

Just received the 8790 2 weeks ago and thinking about doing the same thing.

You can find a link for a 56xx service manual on the forums (you're lucky cause i can't find a service manual for mine) wich explains in detail how to put the card in. I believe only one antenna wire needs to be connected. If you zoom in on the pictures you will also see the model number on the card (Msi MS6820 for the ''g'' model)

I just put a dell true mobile 1300 in my 5680, was easy to do as seen here
