MSI is rolling out its Z77IA-E53, the latest mini-ITX mainboard for Intel’s Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge CPUs. The board supports
- 16 GB of memory on two channels,
- one PCI-Express 3.0 x16 and mini PCI-E 2.0 for an additional card.
- up to two drives on SATA 3 and two SATA 2, and a final eSATA (6 Gbps).
The rear panel rounds up with four USB 3.0 ports, five USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet port, a VGA output and HDMI, three jacks for 8-channel audio and an optical output, Bluetooth, WiFi b / g and n, one PS / 2 port for keyboard or mouse.
The clou with this board lies within its support of at least 7-stage CPU steps with the assistance of MSI’s OC Genie II - making its performance rival that of larger and more expensive ATX models.
