Thread Starter

Hello.

I'm make pin mode, hardware:
Acer Aspire 7738G
Intel Core 2 Duo P8700
1066 Bus, (266)
ICS 9LPRS365BKL
RAM: 4GB 1333 + 2GB 1066

Notebook Specifications
http://support.acer.com/acerpanam/notebook/0000/Acer/Aspire7738G/Aspire7738Gsp2.shtml

I make pin mode
I cut oryginal path to pin11.

From 11 pin i put resistor 5k, 10k, 20k, 30, 50, 70, 90k to ground but still I have logic 1.
When is resistor 5k voltage is 0.24 in 11pin but fetfsb have still logic 1.
Screenshot shows it's status on register 9 bit 6, shown as 65h=1100101(binary) bit 6=1, meaning no overclocking

What wrong make i?

i read about 30 site about pin mode, this site too.

I dont know why my pin mode doesnt work...

now i go to shop bay resistor 2k and 1k... maybe this?

maybe 0,24V on pin 11 is to big?

Not all pin mode are guaranteed to work. Sometimes you just have to settle with some sort of software overclocking or getting a better CPU. Safe route, I think smile.gif

They are all examples of models that work, except yours ... unless I miss a very specific post about your 7738G. On top, just because it works for one notebook A, it does not mean that all other notebooks A will work
