Hey, has anyone ever seen one of these?

 

I'm trying to replace cpu fan in a toshiba.

It's a late windows vista model M305D-S4830.

 

The top half of the case is connected to the bottom by a BUNCH of screws, a couple easy to do ribbon cables and two of these things.

Top (or bottom) part of the board depending on how they (define) assemble it. Can you access the heat sink and fan unit from the bottom without tearing the whole thing apart?

I have been very busy and thank you all for being so patient.

 

Yes I must disconnect this ribbon to remove the top half of the case from the bottom.  I think this will expose the cpu fan.
