Need help finding the right 3.5mm audio socket for laptop.

Hello community, my problem here is that my 3.5mm audio socket died (bending the pins back didn't help). So I soldered out the socket, but it seems that I caņ't find another one at the Internet to replace this one. Some links to some online shops would be awesome (which ships to East Europe). Adding some pictures; socket has 6 solderable pins.

One of these threads should have a link to where you can get the audio jack

Don't know which Eastern European country you are from but try to order online from either Conrad or talk to this ( http://www.laptopjacks.com/index.php?source=google&spcid=526 )

What is your notebook model? Another method is to find a dead notebook, same model if possible and salvage the jack wink.gif

Hey, thanx for the reply! The model is TravelMate 5742Z. The thing is, i have no problems replacing it or stuff like that. I just need to find the correct socket, as there are like millions of types of them. And I have considered the broken laptop thing - there is a broken motherboard for 40$ at Ebay. But I'd rather spend 0.5$ on 1 socket than go and buy the whole motherboard. And for the http://www.laptopjacks.com/index.php?source=google&spcid=526 link, it seems that they don't have my model there, and I don't know any other models, that have the same socket as mine.

Most of the time parts like audio jacks are not really model specific. Give them (laptopjacks) a ring or mail and see what they can sort out for ya.

Good luck. Browse the link above within our forum. There was a member not too long ago having the same issue and was able to order the jack

Yea,I kind of have spammed most of forums I could, and can't find the matching socket... Anyways, I hope LaptopJacks will have them.
