What do you do if you spilled Sprite on your laptop keyboard?

A friend of mine was drinking a sprite while at my house (She had her laptop with her), and a little of it spilled on the keyboard... she quickly wiped it off but the next day she told me her whole keyboard wasn't working. What should should she do? Is it possible to get a new keyboard for a laptop? If she cleans the keyboard, is it guaranteed that her keyboard will be up and running?

2 things you can do, buy a new keyboard from somewhere like ebay and with a little bit of researc, you can replace it (or get someone to do it).. Or you can take the keyboard off and stick it through the dishwasher and THOROUGHLY dry it out and see if it works again...
I would test the laptop out first to make sure there is no further damage by using a USB keyboard...
