My computer maintenance teacher just passed away 2 weeks ago from a blood clot :( and he left me a z880 laptop.
Only catch is that it's in pieces. Its bezel/lid is broken and won't hold onto the hinges, the drum thingy where the power button and charging port is, is missing. And also it's missing the hard drive, hard drive cable, ram cover, and every single screw in the chassis. My more important concern is the hard drive SATA cable. I can only find it on eBay for an outrageous $40 and was wondering where I can get it cheaper. I don't care if It was made for another laptop model as long as it works.
Also is there a way I can get all the screws for the laptop?
I extremely appreciate any help as I know that he would have liked to fix this laptop himself.
