ASUS U47A Remove Optical Drive

Hi,  I would like to remove the optical drive from my ASUS U47A but don't see an obvious way to do it.  I was unable to find any relevant info on their site or anywhere else I looked.  Is there an online source of manual for assembly/disassembly of Acer notebooks?  The user guide is useful, but not for this.  I don't want to start randomly taking out screws just to see how it is put together (yet).  Thanks

Tough to get a hand on the service guide for this model.

But ... (most, almost all) Optical drive notebooks can be removed from 2 places - either from screws underneath the bottom casing or from under the keyboard.

Hello, did you ever figure out how to remove the optical drive? I am trying to remove one as well and having a difficult time doing it. Thank you.
