Toshiba Qosmio F50-10Z keyboard problem ?

Hi I have a Toshiba Qosmio F50-10Z with what I think is a keyboard problem, when powering off especially the start shutdown area just jumps all over the place, however when I disconnect the keyboard altogether and use a usb keyboard there are no problems at all, my question is I have a working ketboard from a Toshiba Tecra A2 Model No PTA20E-07801QEN, I was wondering just before I go and buy a replacement keyboard for it could I test my Tecra A2 keyboard in it instead or is this a crazy idea, the ribbon cable seems the same and fits ok, I have bought a replacement keyboard for an Acer before with similar behaviour only to find it didn't solve the problem

I don't see why not. Give it a go and see if it works with the keyboard swap smile.gif

Yes qhn it works no flickering anymore however the keys act different I'm just hoping this is because of the different keyboard layout in this keyboard, any thoughts on that one qhn, oh my original is currently in the dishwasher keys facing downward this should be interesting azz.gifwink.gif will let you know the outcome, now back to that desktop again smile.gif

act different? like country code? some key out of place like Z and Y?

Then I would not be bothered with it, use key covers winknudge.gif

Ok I didn't explain very well, the original keyboard has number keys on right hand side but the one i use for testing has not e.g n-> q, u->t,p->m, many keys dont work at all but like I said the screen flickering is now gone but this keyboard is unuseable or does not fit the laptop
