Proper laptop processor temperature?

Thread Starter

I am using CoreTemp to check the temperature of my ASUS laptop. With a light load, CoreTemp reports temperatures between 100-120 degrees F. When heavily loaded, temperature peaks at about 150 degrees F.

Are these temperatures okay? If not, should I attempt to:

(1) Tweak the laptop fan control?

(2) Open the laptop & blow out dust (if any)?

(3) Anything else?

Thank you.

Those temps are normal!

But it never hurts to clean out inside once a year and applying new thermal paste. Keeping the vents clear of obstruction is also good

cheers ...
