Hey guys im still a little new to the lap top deal. now I know desktops are made for gaming and all. But I am always taking my laptop with me and all. I have the i-5 4gb model and I play some of the mmo games with the gf to keep her entertained and off my back lol. It runs most of them fine. I just bought guild wars 2....I saw it said my laptop was able to run it with the intel 3000 card it has....but was wondering if anyone else has the same comp and know if it lags at all? Would adding another 4gb chip in there help it out alot? I see ebay has some for about $25 bucks and alot of people are saying at 6-8 the mother board does not strain as much and the grafics are better then when using a 2-4gb....let me know what you all think.

Thanks

More ram is always a good thing. And depending on the games, more ram would not help much if they are GPU hungry smile.gif

If I am not mistaken, the K53 is an ASUS laptop not an Acer.( wrong section)..Looked for a K53A at Crucial and couldnt find that model..are you sure its not a K53TA??? Check at Crucial.com to find out what the max memory your model can handle..

UPDATE:.Sorry, Misread the model number..I got it K53E..here is what crucial.com says:
Memory Type: DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-12800, DDR3 (non-ECC)
Maximum Memory: 8GB
Slots: 2
Each memory slot can hold DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-12800 with a maximum of 4GB per slot.*.

I assume that you are running a 64 bit version of Win7..If you are not, and only running a 32 bit version, than more memory will not help..your puter will then only recognize 3.5GBs
