Thread Starter

I update the Dolby Advanced Audio v2..then when I open it ..It says(The current Dolby audio driver version is 7.2.8000.13 and the software application expects driver version 7.2.7000.7.Please install a valid driver and software application combination.

try using the 7.2.700.7 drivers here. Good luck

Curious why you updated the driver..were you experiencing problems...if not, consider a system restore back to the day before you updated the driver

Try either going back to devices manager, look for the audio device, and use the option to "use" previous driver" and see

Viruses and or trojans quite often are responsible for erasing restore dates..Do you run an up to date anti virus and do also periodically scan for malware with Malwarebytes or Superantispyware (both free editions)

Oh ye ... That Dolby ding is the pit for any manufacturers, not just for Acer thumbdown.gif

Couple more thing to try:

- back up your personal data and restore the comp to its original state, then stay away from that Dolby ding tongue.gif
or
- download the latest Realtek driver from here, then rerun the Dolby update again
