I keep reading about temps on this system the M14x R2 . I keep reading how its necessary to re-paste, shut off hyperthreading, or turbo boost. I mean is this completely required to do so my laptop don't crap out. I mean Im all stressed out now over this and really dont want to break into a new laptop. Im capable of doing this, but I figured the high dollar Im spending for this unit, I wouldnt think I would have to do this.

If your notebook currently does not show any of the crappy symptoms (overheating per example), just keep on using it.

It is being suggested to clean out the inside and applying new thermal paste at least once a year on notebooks.
