but let me tell you one point!

nothing in the world is for free, only death, scam, rob and lie
so do not understand me wrong, i am not greedy, but i have to live and learn more to help you even out if no one else can do it!

for this i need

*Pepsi
*good nerves
*brain
*tools

so a donation of 20€ should be fair? especially if you guys can not do the fix yourself, that i take your item and repair it myself!
i am not a Chinese scammer who steals from other guys manuals and tell them i am a poor student!

Welcome to NBF Iman Cobra headbang.gif
Hope you and Mortzy come to an arrangement satisfying to both of you. For the fair price we can get members with the same issue contacting you direct.

Peace, gals and guys smile.gif

I think 20€ should be a fair price for my idea and my fix!

Point is I had to work on it more then weeks to solve it

Otherwise its also the support!

right now i solved the problem of more then 8people and they are lucky with it! I had a few days ago a french in japan

he had not such luck! He needed a lot of support!

So it´s not about pictures only! It´s about an idea! Like apple did! Steve jobs build by this a real real big company!

and I am a little bit scared that people buy it for 20€ from me, especially I understood their financiell situation (I am also in a bad sit.) and sell my manual for a lower price!

It´s the support that is so expansive!

I tried to get a good job in germany, but no one wants me here! Reason? I am not looking german!

So this is for a poor german student the only way to make money! a little bit! If i had a job, it would be for free!

but point is

I do not have one!

and 20€ for a 1500€ laptop and one of its kind laptops in the world is not so much!

i already also found a solution to bring this laptop a nvidia or ati gpu in!

or a 8cell battery! so 20€ should not be a problem! especially you get the support!

Hi Iman,

Thank you for that !
But that is ok, i found the low screen digitizer part on ebay (low screen display and touch glass set for iconia 6120).
I buy it from ebay, and change it. Now it is working.
I used too much time and money for this laptop ahaha ...
but finally it works...

(By the way, I am using with windows8 actually. much better than win7 with a touch screen laptop)

it sounds great when a customer is satisfied!

One more thing, the "custom cut" for the 8 cell battery...it´s not here. So, once again, sorry for posting and if we are to respect the rules, do the refund. I didn´t took away any of your clients so peace. But as I said: the price is 20€? and you sent me an incomplete tutorial... REFUND or I will claim it trust me. Only because these things are to solve by e-mail first. So if you post calling me a scammer, I post describing the poor quality of the fix you sold me. 20€ fix-YES-I want back what belongs to me.

hey everybody.

i'm another iconia 6120 owner with the same problem. i've been doing alot of reading on the matter and when i first saw this thread i began to see a glimmer of hope, but by the time i got to the end i was disgusted... people arguing over a few euros... loosing sight of the problem at hand... helping each other to fix our problems.

@montzy: you know you are never going to get your money back so... remember where you were before getting your laptop fixed and how much you wanted to find a solution... the only way you could possibly win is to share the information with all of us

@iman cobra: the reason the Germans won't accept you as one of them is because, in my opinion you lack their ethics. no business is bulitproof. if you wanted to list. o protect your idea you should have copyrighted it... since you didn't every person you sold it to is entitled to sell it or give it away as they please.

@the admins: i would suggest cleaning this topic up a bit.

And now that i got all of that out of the way let me share with you the information i have ... FOR FREE!!!

the problem occurs when you move the laptop or put too much pressure on the screen. the way i fix it is i just log off from the side button and log back on to find the problem is gone. another way to prevent this is to use an external mouse. even if the screen becomes unresponsive you can still use the cursor to kick it back to life. my suspicion is that all of this is caused by the touchscreen ribbon under the screen. i haven't had time to open it up yet to check this out but it is on my to do list. i also bought an 8 cell battery and as far as i can tell all you need to do to make it fit is just cut about 0.5 cm from the plastic on the back housing. i will start this little project as soon as i can get my hands on a proper drill and will make a FREE tutorial.

in conclusion gentleman... remember decency, humanity and that we are all here to help each other first.... and to make money second.

hmmmm .. I am watching here, gals and guys. Let's argue, discuss and try to get to a consensus - in a civilized way ... ok?

I shall not put up with name calling and characters attacks here at NBF. Thanks for the attention to the matter.

smile.gif we all have our share of blowing the top, now and then. A deep breath, a step back ... et voilà

I don't own this model. And I still believe that one of this model owners, or many, should write a letter or mail to Acer. Heck, start a petition even. My resolution is for Acer to pay Mortzy back, get in contact with Cobra about the solution .. they can score good points here with their customers tongue.gif

But sorry, I am not ACER winknudge.gif

cheers ...

ACER .... where are you? Come on, Apple pays out some for Antenna-Gate, so Acer should pay out some for Screen-Gate:lol:

Peace everyone, stay healthy

Hi Iman Cobra, just to let you know I've asked Acer UK to contact you about the fix. My computer is in for repairs after being 'elevated' and a senior technician working on it. They're not call centre drones, so they might actually act on this.

If so, your fix could help the hundreds (thousands?) of people out there who've fallen victim to ghost touching plus Acer's lack of commitment to solving the problem. So thanks a lot for sharing a fix that, given the evidence on this forum, appears to work.

Of course, it's up to you to charge Acer what you like. Ha ha.
