ExpressCard 34 in a 54 slot

I'm wondering if i put an ExpressCard 34 USB 3.0 w/ 1 or 2 ports, inside a ExpressCard 54 slot, will there be an empty gap or space?

Well it's all depending on your notebook specifications, if the slot supports both ExpressCard 34 and ExpressCard 54. If it does, then it would work, gap or no gap. If not, don't try smile.gif

The laptop in question is a HP Pavilion Dv4t-1600. Here the "Notebook Tour" user guide states it has an ExpressCard 54 slot, but does not mention if it supports ExpressCard 34. Also, this "External Media Cards" user guide, fails to indicate if the ExpressCard 54 can fit 34, either. I'd really appreciate a definite answer whether an ExpressCard 34 works, and especially if it will cause an empty space or gap, since i do not want debris,etc going into the laptop.

Both the documents you linked are for ExpressCard 54. Your notebook model does not support ExpressCard 34.
