A modest quantity of alcohol accidentally fell, because of the cat ,on the keyboard. For the first 3 -4 hours it worked then gradually some time no longer worked, but now also adding an external keyboard does not go anymore maybe because it doesn't red drivers. Comes a black screen and white lettering windows Seven that does not allow you to do anything that even access the desktop at the moment! I'm very angry because the pc is very new...... help me please  , how can I solve the question?

You can try removing the internal keyboard, inspect for any wet, burning, frying signs underneath it. Clean it up and let it dry (should have done this in the 1st place by tipping the notebook up side down). Hopefully it will recover.

You would need first to remove all the screws at the bottom of the notebook to get to the keyboard. Then turning the notebook over on its right side you should be able to remove the whole keyboard, paying attention to the connection to the mainboard.

Visually check the connector area for wetness or stickiness from that good alcohol laugh4.gif

Visually check the whole motherboard ...

At this time you can actually wash the keyboard by simply let faucet water running all over it - but the trick here is to let it completely dry (hair dryer, placing it near heater outlet ...) before putting it back - or simply just leave it out and test with an external keyboard.

Thanks, I try to follow these tips to take the keyboard apart, maybe I do to help a friend. I have a friend who understands and maybe I do to help him remove the keyboard.I see that the keys are very delicate .... Do you think I have not lost the computer permanently for this problem, it was really new and I'd hate ...... however the liquid may have affected some of the internal circuits in your opinion?
thanks

notebooks are not amphibian ... at least that is what I come to realize ... tongue.gif

The keyboard is one unit, it might look delicate but it is pretty tough taking all the pounding from the fingers. I hope that once the board is being out and giving the time to air out, it might work again.
