I don't think so. Try another game and time it as when your system stutters again, then comparing it to when playing Skyrim

savegame bloat huh? that can't be, I tried this on a brand new game.
it could be patches or that the 306.97 whql drivers are not the best one for skyrim.

Never hurt to try different versions of gpu driver. Latest and newest do not equal to better winknudge.gif

Totally back up and install the whole system new with OS and stock drivers. You might have done it already, but never hurts to try again

system->hardware-> devices manager-> expand the devices out, print screen and post the pic
