Do you recommend me repasting it by myself then? Or should I take it to Acer servis and -pay- them to change it?

If you have the laptop for more than 6 months you'll find alot of dirt inside the fan, where the litle aluminium vents are (you have to take of the 3 screws that keep the metal part of the fan), Yes you can lose the waranty but I can give you a dirdy trick: buy a new quality screwdriver that fit perfectly the philips screws, apply pressure when unscrewing/screwing and be carefull not to damage the screw heads, as you unscrew a litle of the black coating of the screws will come off, so if you don't want acer to know that you open the laptop use a permanent black marker with a fine tip to repaint the screws heads after you close back the compunter :) THEY WILL NEVER KNOW :)
If you open for repasting take of the nets that are under the vents and find youreself a litle switch and make the fan mode... it will improve like you don't immagine...
on the other forum http://forum.notebookreview.com/acer/553306-acer-timelinex-3830-4830-5830-t-g-442.html they try it...
i used generic silver paste... and my temperatures are like 1-4 degree celsius higher than the ones that use arcticsilver... the important thing is to repaste as soon as possible... if you want the picture guide on how to disasmble i'll send you the manual from acer... or I'll even make a video maybe... is not that hard... maybe thiese days I'll open again mine... summer is comming :)
Im planning to repaste my laptop this week or maybe even today, so can you (qhn) please tell me do i need to turn it on for maybe 10 minutes so the old paste will be easier to remove?
And nearly how much new paste to put on middle of cpu, on which places to especially be very careful (for example how to safely disonnect devices like touchpad)
