VPC-F12MOE overheating and bsod's. would like to know how to remove the back to clean inside.

since server maintenance on diablo3 a couple of days ago my laptop has begun overheating, bsod's and occasionally "operating system cannot be found".

i formatted and re-installed windows 7 ultimate, installed up to date drivers etc.

i dont have the bsod message at the moment.

now... vaoi's are known for being noisy, even at idle, that seems to be fixed now. its much quieter and, as im typing this, is at 43c which is much cooler than before, but seems to heat up very quickly soon after anything more intensive occurs. it has also spontaneously heated up for no reason and gone to the bsod or "operating system cannot be found".

first thing i wanted to do was give the inside a good clean in case any airways are blocked, it hasnt been cleaned since it was bought over a year ago.

i have spent the last 2 hours looking for a guide to remove the back casing. as it is, im stuck after having removed all the visible screws and the casing doesnt seem ready to be removed.

thanks for any help you can offer.

cheers for the quick reply.

i ended up hoovering the vents and it seems to have worked wonders. idle temp is down to 40 and under stress its not risen above 65. fan is quiet now too. seriously like a new laptop, but the disturbing thing is that it had been noisy and hot from new and i was told that was normal for this model.

thanks again
