Far Cry 3

I'm looking forward into playing this game tomorrow. With all the hype, how can you not. ? Watched all the trailers, read all the reviews (maybe not all but certainly a lot) and it seems to me that this game, according to the critics, is over the top as far as FPS games are concerned. But then again, I felt the same way with FC2 which was a bit of a disappointment . The graphics was excellent but the gameplay really sucked. However, as an FPS junkie of the highest degree, I shall be willing to dole out my 60 bucks tomorrow and reserve judgement after I finish this game. Hopefully , this one won't be a disappointment. What attracts me to this series is the "open world" concept which is lacking in most FPS games. In between the violence and slaughter, it's nice to relax a little and "smell the roses", a luxury which is not offered by the war games such as the MWs, CODs, and the like.

Ordered the game last night via gamefly. $39.99 after $20 discount. coupon. Will start download today at 10 am pst.

Hey thanks mr Q. Good info re the new drivers. Might download it later. I went through a lot of hoops buying this through gamefly. Even though they have confirmed my order by email, they still required me to call them to verify that the order is legit. They emailed me a number to call but it was a recording. So, I have to do an online chat with one of their reps. Then you have to register with uplay (similar to steam) before you can actually play the game. But it's all good considering the 20 bucks that I saved. The install went without a hitch and I just started playing it a few minutes ago. I don't know if I can do a review, but certainly, I'll post some comments regarding the game.

This game is great fun...so much to see and do. I won't reveal any spoilers here, but it is surely worth the money...I'm going back atm and putting my name on as many rocks as I can lol...
