screen yellow

i have a compaq presario CQ62 laptop and the screen broke :(

i paid  £90 for a new screen when i recived it, it  shuddered and had yellow lines on the screen only noticeable on certain

colour backgrounds white grey ect ect...  so i sent it back to see if the gentleman who fixed the screen could locate the fault he seemed to fix the shuddering as it has only shudderd once since, but anyway he has not been able to fix the yellow lines and at the top of the screen on a certain line it is pixelated? ie the colour are lets say 5-6 little dots away from where it should be..

any help would be appreciated

i pluged my laptop into the t.v via HDMI and it does not show on the t.v but does on the laptop then when removing the HDMI cable from the HDMI port on the laptop the screen went black with lines appering accross the top going horizontal and at the top left of the screen it meets to more lines going vertical down the screen :( that have not dissapeared even though the pc has been restarted

p.s when restarted the screen is still black and still have the lines

thanks for a quick responce

It sounded like the replacement display is failing, or there was something wrong with the replacement process, or other parts like inverter or cable connector to the display

Screen replacement is quite simple. Main thing is making sure that all power sources are being disconnected (adapter, battery). There are many free good guides on the net, even HP/Compaq, that can walk you step-by-step smile.gif
