How do I do that? Sorry for the ignorance.. I have another question.. the ribbon that attaches the two hard drives to the mobo.. do Inred to change that if I want to put it in ata mode instead of raid?

Load the comp with a GParted Live CD and follow the instruction to partition the drive(s). This is to be sure that the larger than 120GB size is the problem for this model.

As far as RAID or ATA set up, I believe that this is be done via BIOS settings

headscratch.gif if the BIOS cannot see the optical drive then ...
a) the drive is failing
b) the connector to the drive is failing
c) the board is failing
