Acer India website doesn't provide updated drivers for its notebook components

Hi, I have been using an Acer Aspire 5742G notebook for over 1.5 years. I observed that Acer India website hardly has updated drivers for any of my notebook model, while the OEMs (like nVidia) have posted updated drivers for their components used in my notebook model. Should I continue with the Acer provided drivers or is it safe to manualy track, download, and install newer drivers from OEMs themselves ?

Would appreciate guidance & advise from experts n the like. Thanks.

Regards,

Ramesh

If you are not having problems, dont worry about it..updating drivers just for the sake of a newer one is not necessary. As they say, "If it aint broke, dont try and fix it".....

Thanks @Saugen48. I haven't noticed any problems with my current display drivers and I don't use my notebook for gaming, so am fine with the current settings. Read on nVidia website that newer drivers seem to enhance gaming experience using nVidua GPUs. So, I assume it won't improve performance or readability of text for casual users like myself. Like you said "why fix if it ain't broke ?" !!
