UX31E Max Temps

Hi everyone, I have a UX31E and my max temps while playing Portal 2 get really high. I get 89C on the chipset and 89C on the cores max and 92C on the CPU Package max temps. I know this is under the spec temp of 105C for the CPU but I am worried because it is so close to the max and am unsure about the chipset max temps.

Core i5 2467M

I also added some thermal pad between the CPU heat pipes and the outer metal casing to help dissipate some heat.

I am afraid if I remove the heat sink and redo the thermal paste I will lose warranty so I haven't messed with that yet.

Also what is the warranty on this laptop in the US?

hopefully, you didnt apply too much paste..adding larger amounts than recommended amounts is worse than not enough..
dont use the laptop on your lap or any other soft surface (blocks vent holes which causes over heating) other than that you should be fine..
I suppose if you went to the Asus.com site you could find out what the warranty is..I would assume like other laptops, it would be 1 year for manufacturers warranty...

Principally Asus has 2 years' warranty - but best to get the exact info from Asus.
