Sorry if there was any offense taken, poostick... but then again, with a handle like that, I bet you're tough as nails.

Umm, i wasn't trying to be difficult. I guess this msg was going to the owners of the company (pctorque)... I noticed he carried some acer products. I really really want this laptop, I'm really not familiar with Harmonycomputers.com but they seem to have a feedback on resellerratings. But since Adam* (i don't know him, just from reading the posts) has great support, and he seems to be a great person to deal with. I was considering buying it from his company if he's going to carry it. Unless i'll just buy it straight from acer or bite the bullet and buy it from harmony.
Again sorry for the confusion.

Thanks, Yes, we're currently testing these and may soon offer them as we are authorized to sell Acer with full support. We've been talking with Acer lately about these and their future. It will be at least a week before we put them up though... we have a big move going on where we're relocating to Florida (I like to mention this often =).- Joined: 3/2003

That is WONDERFUL news... Trust me, i have been scouring laptop reviews for months... and almost bought a sager last month. Then... oh then i see what Acer has to show for themselves. Oh boy i'm in love. I don't need the speed of a desktop with me everywhere i go, and I need battery life unlike many of you. I'm on the go alot, and i hate to be strapped to a outlet
I'm running a dell 8100 right now and the battery life just isn't good enough. If the dell isn't good enough, i'm guessing the sager 5660 or the 8887 wouldn't be the one's for me either.
Please, e-mail me whenever you're ready let one go! Ya! Good luck on your move. I'm glad you're on the east coast, shipping wont be too bad then.
thank you all for the prompt replies... and if you all need someone to play bf1942( ill be on a desktop)
/me kills with no mercy. hehe

haha, gotta love the nick.
I just choose random nicks i see all the time. I saw some show on comedy central one night a long time ago. There was a comedy skit about a new item in stores called the "Poo stick". Which was litterally a peice of crap on a stick and everyone was loving it. I thought it was hilarious. Ever since then it's just stuck to me. I don't remember the show. Just the Poostick.
Anyway, well honestly I don't play many mods... I usually just sit on Wooggeess(sp) Omaha server. ff off and no planes. I love planes, but sometimes they get on my nerves. 20 vs 20. It gets intense sometimes. You definatly find some good players on that server, but sometimes you can run into some stupid ppl. BF1942 is a gamble for fun sometimes.
As for you sniping me... you can try. You might succeed, but that doesn't mean i can't stealth my way to your general area and take out my trusty knife... *grin. To respawn is grand!
I haven't played many other maps lately i haven't got too much time lately. But i can play any map it doesn't matter they are all fun. I bought the expansion pack and i don't even play it. If you have the exp pack, do you like it?
Let's go TANK Vs TANK... we'll see who wins that. *wink.

true, they have their +/- but overall i'm with you. I tend to stay on omaha, marketgarden, wake. I like playing El Almein/other huge maps ctf. I like flying down dirt roads in my trusty jeep while evading the enemy. hehe It's a obsession.
Lemme ask you a question... Have you ever just loaded a jeep with tnt and fly down the road look for you first unexpected victim (ie. tank, helpless assault person, apc)jump out and blow up everything? I swear i've been doing it a lot lately I love blowing up fully loaded apc's. haha
what servers are you all playing on?

Un-cooperative teams...
Some of these jerks prefer to run you over to take the plane. There was my teammate shooting at me as I took off!!! I bombed him sky high!!!Now where is the cooperation huh? I got there first I take it - he can wait his turn as I waited mine!!
This is the only problem - selfish individuals. I can fly pretty good - but if I see someone else getting to the machine before me - I let him go!!!
Not everywhere you see this behavious - only on some stupid servers and you can tell by the name of the server!!

Poostick...I actually bought the Acer 800 LCI and took it back to CDW the same day. Its fast as hell, but there are some major things you should know before you buy. I would seriously recommend if you can find a place locally to put your hands on one you do. Here is what I found when using that lappy.
1. The hard drive is mounted right under the left palm rest, and it got so hot during use I had to put a towel over it. It was VERY uncomfortable.
2. The case of that lappy is VERY cheap Fisher Price style plastic, and at one point I picked it up and the case flexed so badly that the cd that was in the drive made terrible grinding sounds, as the case flexed around the drive.
3. Its thinner and lighter than my Toshiba 2805-s402, but every bit as big otherwise, its a huge laptop for a thin and light.
4. The fan on the cpu was louder than I liked, and ran quite a bit.
5. You will need a laptop desk if you plan to use it on your lap, it gets pretty toasty during use on the bottom.
6. The keyboard on that lappy is something you will either love or hate, there is no middle ground. Its shaped like the smile of a smilie face, and the reach of the keys takes some serious getting used to.
So try it out before you buy it, I thought it was a pretty sketchy laptop for the kind of money they get for it.

Im doing the same thing. There are so many new Laptops coming out between now and May that it just makes sense to hang on a little longer and see what shakes out.
Im faced with a really hard decision between the new Toshiba, the IBM thinkpad T40, or a tricked out Sager 5670. All are due about mid April......Decisions.....decisions.......decisions...
