NV57H50u Keyboard Replacement

Hello,

I have the aforementioned laptop and want to replace the keyboard. It is one of the 'internal' type that come up from underneath the top panel. If anyone has replaced one of these any advice would be appreciated.
Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, i searched the forums and found nothing on this model.

Thanks!

Is this one of those that comes with the upper bezel together as one unit? You might want to take out all the screws from the bottom and see if you can pop the upper part out. Removing the screen might also helps

Yes it is. The bezel covers the keyboard and has the speaker grill located at the top by the screen. I was hoping to get some insight before pulling it apart and possibly screwing the whole thing up.

Nah ... remove all bottom screws, battery. get the screen loose and should be able to pry (easily and gently) the keyboard out. Pay attention to the cable ribbon underneath it

Search "Gateway NV57H50u" on youtube ... they have some video clips that can use for reference

cheers ...
