Line of red (possibly dead?) pixels

Hello!

 

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I have a Dell Inspiron 1750 and there is a line of red pixels going from the top to bottom of the screen. If the background to my computer is white, its basically gone. So is there anything I can do to make it go away? Or is the only solution to get a new LCD?

Afraid the right solution would be an other screen replacement
