My G51JX-X3 Isn't Working

Hey guys, I've tried just about everything by now. I've applied new thermal paste, I've cleaned the dust out of it and tried Malwarebytes to see if I had any virus' but no luck. My laptop works for basic things like using the internet, but when I play any game, this could be Grand Theft Auto 4, Minecraft, Garry's Mod, my laptop just turns off after a while. It doesn't even seem to be getting too high in temperature, like the fan will be running but at a somewhat normal level. What should I do?

Back up your personal data and go for a clean installation. What I would do next in this scenario

Thanks qhn, you're always of good help, but could you be kind enough to send me to a tutorial of some sort for this?

Tutorials?

- back up personal data (files, musics, videos etc ..) to another drive
- get your Windows installation disk and go for it, wiping out and format the whole ding. Or if you have a recovery partition, use it to restore to original state
- check for Windows update, check for latest drivers from ASUS
- install the games
- pray winknudge.gif

Good luck!

cheers ...

I'd also advise opening the system to clean out any dust buildup.
