mx6448 No POST / No Video

     Hello everyone.

I'm hoping someone out there could offer some assistance. I have a Gateway mx6448 that does not post, and has no video.

When I power it on the leds light up, the fan spins up, and then approx 10seconds later it shutsdown and then immediately

tries to start back up in a neverending cycle of this. I have ruled out everything on Gateway's checklist on their support site

(http://support.gateway.com/s/Checklists/BPC/ck20070912121.shtml). I have been able to rule out the RAM as a problem.

I'm stumped. Could someone please help. Thanks

Time to go for a baking job and see if that helps

I was just looking for a little honest help fixing my laptop as I can't afford to have it done for me. Offering up ridicule instead of assistance is a sign that you are insecure, and suffer from low self-esteem. I hope one day you can overcome whatever issues you are struggling with. I also realize that I myself exercised poor judgement joining this forum seeking quality advice. Thank-you nonetheless.

My suggestion of "baking" is a straight in the face honest pointer. Search the forum for bake/baking and you would understand what it is being involved. My take is that your notebook's motherboard is toasted! Any other attempt to help would be waste of time.

Want a simpler suggestion from me? Take it to the shop and have the board replaced or save money and get a new one.

Please accept my sincere apology, as I completely misunderstood. Thank you for clearing that up, and also for the point in the right direction.

All is forgotten, all is well. Do stop by more often, we can always learn from each other
