I got a acer aspire 5551-2036 with P320 & hd 4250 gpu.Seen a acer aspire 5552-7803 with N970 cpu & hd 4250.I compared Socket,chipset,fan/heatsink,battery,ac adapter,& bios/smbios.All are a perfect match.Should I be able to run the N970?

It runs 400mhz & 10W more but the 5552-7803 runs it & has same Socket,chipset,fan/heatsink,battery,ac adapter,bios/smbios,& gpu as my 5551-2036.I searched awhile but yes they all really do match.

Technically yes. But is it worth the upgrade? I would say no. Review the BIOS difference between of a similar model that runs the stronger CPU and verify that it is the same first
