Cursor stuck on Samsung R540 laptop

My Samsung R540 has a new problem (I posted another thread yesterday about the problems i'm having with the USB drivers on it in this forum) in that the cursor's stuck and I can't move it at all. sad.gif

I think what I did was that I stupidly used the driver that I downloaded for the touchpad via the DriverFinder software thinking it was compatible for the laptop and I had to do a reboot only to find that I can't move the cursor at all via the touchpad.

I've tried everything that I can to fix the problem, even System Restore which didn't work as the anti-virus software was still on, but I'm stuck as to what I can do next.

Take a deep breath, back up your personal data and go for clean re-installation

My friend got back in touch with me and said that it looks like that I'll need a new hard drive along with a complete reinstall as well on it.

I'll order one tonight for next day delivery, but I was wondering what's the maximum size that the R540 can take, storage-wise?

Specs call for 500GB, if you really need that much
