Alienware M18xR1 Volume Buttons Not Working.

I got my laptop the christmas before last, and up until now its been functioning all well.

 

The volume buttons do not seem to be carrying out their functions anymore, volume up does not increase the volume, and volume down does not decrease, the mute key also does not work anymore.

 

Any details needed can be provided.

 

Any ideas as to whats wrong?

Have you tried doing this yet

1. Power off the system

2. Unplug AC Power

3. Remove Battery

4. Depress and hold the power button for a 20 count

5. Attach Battery

6. Attach AC Power and boot up.

Uninstall and reinstalling audio driver and see
