Gateway 6525GP charging circuit diagram

Thread Starter

I was replacing the DC jack on a Gateway 6525GP and while doing so a couple of the inductors by the DC jack came loose from the motherboard. I re-soldered them to the motherboard and now the system board doesn't seem to be charging the battery. I'm trying to find out how to test the system board battery charging circuit to make sure that is the case and that the battery hasn't gone bad at just this time. If anyone can help me by letting me know what posts I need to test on the system board it would be greatly appreciated.

It turns out my sister in law has a Gateway that uses the same battery, so I was able to make sure the battery does take a charge. It does, so I just ordered a replacement system board on eBay. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Thanks, I know buying online can be a crap shoot at times. The dealer I ordered it from has a good rating.
